Since early childhood, I have always loved drawing.

I was fortunate to have a good art program in high school that stressed working from life, which I still believe is the critical foundation for any visual artist, regardless of individual style.

I have a BFA in Communications Design (Illustration) from Pratt, and have spent the years after college furthering my art studies with various excellent teachers, social groups, and practice.

You will often find me out painting all over New York City year-round. I love painting in my studio, but painting on-location is a special and irreplaceable experience.
